7-Eleven fulfilled its first drone delivery with donuts, coffee, and Slurpees
In Reno, Nevada, convenient store 7-Eleven has successfully fulfilled its first drone-delivered order of coffee, Slurpees, a chicken sandwich, and donuts to a family's home. The store teamed up with Flirtey, a drone startup who designs, builds, and programs its own self-made drones. It also designs special packaging for items that are to be delivered by drone. According to CFO of 7-Eleven, the company plans to offer drone delivery service on a wider scale in the future. However, there was no comment as to when this particular service would actually launch.
