But while Liev Schreiber was seen getting into character for their new drama, his wife Naomi Watts was instead playing the role of doting mother as she took their two children to visit the actor on set in New York City on Friday.
Heading toward the film's shooting location in the city with sons Alexander, eight, and Samuel, six, Naomi was seen keeping a firm grip on her boys as they crossed the street.

The two youngsters appeared to be in the Halloween spirit during their day out as they each had their faces painted in spooky styles.
Samuel chose a vampire look that was slightly heavier on the gore with a red 'bloodied' mouth, the area around his eyes shaded completely in black.
His older brother opted for a slightly less sinister design, instead choosing to have his face made up as a cat with sharp fangs.

The family each cut a casual figure for their day on set, most notably Naomi, 47, who sported a fitted leather jacket, a striped T-shirt, skinny jeans and long black boots.
Easing off on the glamour for a relaxed day with her family, she appeared to go make-up free, while her blonde locks were tied into an effortless up-do.
But it was her husband who was sporting the cosmetics for the day, as his turn on set saw him undergo a series of make-up tests for his new role.

And the tests certainly seemed to be worthwhile as Liev stepped out bearing an uncanny resemblance to the former heavyweight boxing champ.
Production has only just begun on The Bleeder, which will see Naomi portray the role of Chuck's wife Linda.
The story will follow the real-life events of Wepner, and will not only focus on his infamous fight with Muhammed Ali 40 years ago, but will also detail his struggle to deal with the sudden fame after becoming the ultimate underdog, as well as his hard partying lifestyle that led him to serve time for cocaine possession.
